Yes We Can!

This video, based on a Barack Obama speech, has been making the rounds lately. I’m a fan of Obama, I’m excited by the possibility that he’s going to be the nominee. I’m proud of the fact that America seems to be getting excited by an intelligent, eloquent speaker, a thinker. I think good changes are coming. And after watching this video, I would say not only “Yes we can!”, but “Yes, we must!

Since this is supposed to be one of life’s big milestones (hasn’t felt like it!), we decided to celebrate in grand style. Kathleen planned a long-weekend trip to Malta for us. Kathleen had brought a group of students to Malta a couple of years ago, so had a good idea of where to go and what to see.

A New Association?

Last week I had the pleasure of attending a dinner put together by Paul Walsh to discuss the need for a new non-profit organization representing the digital or interactive media industries in Ireland. The dinner, sponsored by Microsoft and Blacknight, was held at a restaurant co-owned by Walsh, Jaipur. The evening was off to a wonderful start with a sampling of dishes from Jaipur’s menu - this was the best Indian food I’ve found in Dublin.
